        Raising the Bar
  for Autism Fundraisers
Let me introduce you to one of the most unique, ambitious, and largest fundraiser's ever to be attempted in the USA. It is slated to begin in Hawaii in February 2011 and projected to end in Alaska in September 2011.

This fundraiser was modeled after a thirty-year-old family idea know as the "The 50 at 50" because it covers all fifty states by a person in their fifties. It is sure to capture the hearts of Americans as they watch Brian Anderson who is in his early 50's use his dad's dream to criss-cross this great country for a wonderful cause. Variety is what sets this event "miles apart". In every state he will do five events: golf 18 holes, 50 push-ups, 50 sit-ups, jog 5 miles, all while doing a 10,000 mile bicycle ride.  During the school year, he will be speaking and hopes to make fun "you tube " videos twice a week in 32 different high  schools. On 28 Saturdays, he will invite the public to meet him someplace in town so they can walk, jog, or ride 1 to 50 miles with him. Anyone who volunteers to join him will get a free gift bag and a "50 for Autism" T-shirt. With all these activities, he will end up doing about 75 events within the entire seven month fundraiser.

Brian's main mission will be to raise awareness about  autism in honor of Carson, his six-year-old grandson, and all others who are affected by it. He will be working with Autism Speaks,  the largest private provider of support for autism research and resources in the USA.

Did you realize the that 1 in every 110 births are diagnosed with autism, and government statistics suggest that it is growing at 10-17% annually? The cause is unknown, and no simple cures are available, so research is badly needed to help fight this disorder.

Carson has made some great strides in his first six years, but still has along way to go. Your donations will go to help make a difference in the lives of thousands like Carson. As you can see, Brian's goal is to keep a running tally right here and raise a minimum of $500,000 for autism and the families who live with it.

We hope you have now caught the vision with only a glimpse of this special event. Our goal is to partner with 100,000 facebook friends to assist in any way they can to make this possible. Your secure gift will go right to Autism Speaks and we are asking for a one time minimum donation of only:
     $15.00  general donation.
     $25.00   $.50/state
     $50.00   $1.00/state

Check out our "Expenses." Maybe you can help there?
For larger sponsors, contact us direct. If you can help with
$500.00 + in sponsorship or product value of donated items from our "Expense," your name is listed in our "Hall of Fame." For $1000.00 or more, in sponsorship see "Sponsorship Info."

Remember, this is about  raising awareness for autism and helping kids and their families cope with it in different ways. So get on board, bring your friends, and let's help make a difference for those affected by autism.  Everyone can help out somehow to brighten some little lives, and then follow along when the fundraiser starts in February 2011.
